The Wall is an ongoing series that aims to consolidate my passion for abstraction, architecture and visual interests with the lively world of street photography. I always sense a separation between me and the subjects because of the detached, liminal approach I have with architecture. There is always a barrier. Part of it is because I do not want to disturb the scenes I am observing, which allows me to be a fly on the wall.
Instead of forcing myself to be closer to my subjects, I am experimenting with the process of cleanly observing them from this distance. The compressed depth of field also adds an element of sterility to my compositions, which is something I carry over from my static still life photography.
