This collection is the purest form of my photography, it’s the practice I enjoy the most. It started in 2022 before I even knew what I was capturing.

The joy of capturing light, shadows and the various street lights around the world had such a mesmerizing effect on me that I had to start organizing them into a collection intentionally. I would “collect light” whenever I’d leave the house, with or without a camera.

It is the process of curiosity.
The mundane became my everything.

The name stuck with me when I thought of it as a way to “collect light for rainy days”, since in Scotland there is not much sunlight on a weekly basis.

As time went on, the name made even more sense as I began focusing specifically on light fixtures.

These poles and lamps have such a decorative feel to them throughout the day, when they do not serve much purpose due to sunlight. Instead, they cast shadows and interact with their environment in such elegant ways that I always felt like I was observing something organic, almost like spotting wildlife.
